eat clean, get lean: stop giving up and start working out!

i've been on a bit of a hiatus. things got a little crazy around here...traveling, colds, traveling, colds, broken stove, and then LO's first kiddo virus (those viruses are no joke; turned everything upside down for a bit). funny how a month can go by in flash. i probably did only 4 proper workouts during that time.

i used that crazy busy month as a good excuse to take a break from my clean eating lifestyle. i indulged in a little pasta, biscuits, pizza, hamburgers, pancakes, and milk chocolate. but not only did i relax on my food choices, i also relaxed on my portions. i've always been good at filling a plate, and even better at cleaning it.

everything fits a little snug. i swear some mean, evil gremlin snuck into my closet while i was sleeping and tailored my clothes. it's pretty amazing what a month off the wagon will do. the scale says i haven't gained an ounce. and, my measurements haven't changed. well, my thighs ARE a 1/2" bigger...probably not muscle.

i even had big plans for this NTC 24 Day Challenge. yeah, that lasted 3 days.

although the last month was hectic and a teeny bit stressful, it totally delicious!

i'm ready to get back to eating clean and getting lean!

the workout:

i'm going to do 30 days of crossfit. you can find the WOD (workout of the day), here. my husband is a crossfit afficionado, but i'm not. so, when the WOD calls for 60 handstand push-ups, he'll sub with something for my current fitness level.

am i going to miss a day here and there? most certainly! am i going to kick myself for it? no! will i do my best? heck yeah!

  1. I love the last poster! Keep motivated. You can do it! P.S. lately I've been doing P90x moves at the gym, like jumping squats. I look weird but my legs are getting toned:D

    1. great idea! i'm going to start doing some jumping squats too. i bought some new shorts...they're pretty short. they'll serve as my motivation to get my legs lean and tone!
