carrot cake protein shake: delicious, sweet, and good for you!

this shake is soooo yummy. i blended some up on friday for the first time, and the family ended up drinking them all weekend! it tastes like a carrot cake in a glass!

the best part is that it's packed with protein, vitamin D, and beta carotene. beta carotene is awesome for providing antioxidants to keep cells healthy, keeping eyes healthy, providing vitamin A, boosting your immune system, and supporting reproductive health in females. yeah, it's good stuff!

i recommend you finely mince up the carrot. i did so by using a food processor. if you don't have a food processor, no biggie. you can use a grater.

also, i used milk in this recipe, because i wanted a creamy and rich shake. you could substitute with water or even coconut water.

1 cup minced or finely grated carrots
1/2 banana
1 cup of milk
1/2 cup of ice
1 serving of vanilla protein powder (1 scoop)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp ginger

add all ingredients to a blend and blend until smooth.
